Strange...
Thing is, https://flattr.com/thing/183793/MultiVNC shows up in your flattr app for instance, but https://flattr.com/thing/343159/CoboltFM does NOT.
Using the flattr button from your SDK in my app, the former works, the latter shows a '!' after a while and logcat shows a 500 internal server error. So I guess it must have something to do with the thing...

Hi!
No, the things should appear instantly. And you should never get a 500 error. Both issues may have the same root cause: is your thing public? That can be changed by editing your thing.
If that doesn't help, please give me your Flattr ID (or enter it in the "Flattr ID" field when answering this comment) and I'll perform further research.
So what's the name of your app? :)

Heya,
Dunno of any other way of asking questions: does it take some time till newly added things show up in 'my things' in the app? My thing added yesterday isn't shown in the app... Also, i'm using your SDK in one of my own apps and i get a 500 server error in the logs when the flattr button is shown...

Thanks for any helpful comments ;-)

Wow! I realize I never answered :(

So:
- The app itself is not open source, at least for now. I still have no clear plan about this.
- Yes, you can use the SDK in your own app. It does not require the user to have the Flattr app on hos phone, although he will be proposed to install it if he clicks (but he will also have the opportunity to flattr via the Flattr web site, so the Flattr app is truly optional).

We just had a mail conversion to figure this out and the conclusion is: use the latest version :) Currently, this is v1.1.6. The easiest way is to let the Android market upgrade it smoothly.

The reason behind is a new (february/march 2011) certificate from Flattr which is not trusted by default by the Android phones. Latest Flattr app deals with this issue internaly.

What's the software license of the Flattr4Android app?

I see that the SDK is Apache licensed, is the app the same? If so, where's the source? If not, can the SDK be used by an app to Flattr things without having the Flattr app also installed?
